Accra June, 2008 MTN Ghana has announced the launch of a new Innovative service named MTN Zone. The service gives its Pay As You Go subscribers the opportunity to enjoy up to 100% discount day and night on calls they make to other MTN Ghana subscribers and runs on the per second billing plan. MTN Zone subscribers have a flat tariff on all MTN to MTN calls when they register and subsequently receive messages that display dynamic discounts they will enjoy at any point in time. »

MTN GHANA FOUNDATION UNDERTAKES 21 DAYS OF Y’ELLO CARE 2008 PROGRAMME
Accra May 26, 2008 – MTN Ghana Foundation will launch and undertake the 2008 edition of the 21 Days of Y’ello Care Programme from 1st June, 2008. The programme, which is an MTN annual event, is carried out across all 21 operating units of MTN, and focuses on community-development activities. SCAM ALERT ON MTN PROMOTIONS
MTN wishes to bring to the attention of its valued subscribers a promotional scam that is currently going on in the country. This scam involves the use of text messages which give an indication that a subscriber has won a prize or prizes in a promotion. The false text message also requests that subscribers redeem their prizes by purchasing a specified amount of recharge units and texting them to another MTN number or by making cash payments to a specified account. »

MTN subscribers soar to 61.4m as Group reaffirms focus in 2008 on capital expenditure on network capacity
