MTN Ghana Foundation

The MTN Foundation is an umbrella structure established within the MTN Group, and charged with the responsibility of directing and managing the company's Corporate Social Responsibility activities wherever MTN operates. The mission of the MTN Foundation is to improve the quality of people's lives through appropriate Corporate Social Responsibility interventions in communities where it operates.
As part of its work the MTN Ghana Foundation normally selects projects based on Proposals submitted by different categories of people and forwards it to its Board of Directors for approval. The Foundation wishes to inform the general public about the guidelines on Proposal Submission to facilitate its work.


Guidelines on Proposal Submission

  1. Cover Page
  2. Proposals submitted should contain the Project Title, date of submission, the address and contact numbers of the promoters.
  3. Table of Contents
  4. This section is optional, depending on the detail and scope of the proposal. This outline will assist a reviewer in finding her/his way through the proposal.
  5. Executive Summary
  6. Provide a clear and concise summary of the project.
  7. Project Description
  8. The basic idea of the project should be expressed; the philosophy or premise underlying the project should also be explained.
  9. Goals and Objectives
  10. General statements specifying the project's desired outcomes should be outlined.
  11. Procedures and Methods
  12. Describe the approach or method to be used in the proposed activity.
  13. Budget
  14. This section should include the financial items needed to perform the project.
  15. Monitoring and Evaluation System
  16. This section should present the overall evaluation process, both for assisting the ongoing progress towards achieving the objectives and the actual outcome of the project.
  17. Timelines of the Project
  18. Schedule and duration: indicate the project's total time duration.
  19. Sustainability Plan
  20. This section should show what happens to the outputs of the project after an intervention / programme ends. The plan should consider activities/processes necessary for embedding and owning of the project by the intended beneficiaries.
  21. Key Personnel Information
  22. This section should provide information on the key personnel to undertake the project.
  23. Organization's Information
  24. A brief description of the organization, including its legal name, history, activities, purpose and governing board.
  25. References
  26. This section should be included only if literature has been cited in the proposal.
