17TH November,Accra–MTN Ghana,the country’s leading telecommunications service provider, today launched the MTN/QUALCOMM service aimed at creating better awareness of3G network technologyand the numerous benefits associated with its use.

MTN and Qualcomm, in partnership with SellPhone Ghana Limited, a retailer and distributor of mobile devices and authorized HTC distributor and key device channel partner for MTN and Prop house,an event planning and marketing agency,are embarking on an intensive 3G awareness creation campaign to highlight 3G-enabled HTC phones.

Guests at the launch were educated on 3G as well as related Qualcomm enabled devices from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) like HTC, and MTN 3G data bundles that are available on the market today.

Qualcomm is a global supplier of chipsets and wireless solutions to mobile industry and is the world leader in 3G and next-generation mobile technologies. For more than 25 years, Qualcomm ideas and inventions have driven the evolution of digital communications.
The Chief Marketing Officer of MTN, Rahul De, stated that the project seeks to further enableMTN’s leadership position in the country, particularly in the delivery of 3G network services.
