Accra- September 16th 2010 - MTN, the leading name in Ghana’s mobile telecommunication industry last week bagged several top awards at the 21st Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) and 9th Ghana Club 100 awards ceremonies held in Accra on the 10th and 14th September respectively. These events and subsequent awards seek among other things to promote high professional standards in corporate Ghana and acknowledge excellence in business deliveries over the past year.
MTN emerged tops in the following categories: · Best Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Company of the Year 2009 · Best Information Communication Technology (ICT) Company of the Year 2009 · CIMG Marketing-Oriented Company of the Year 2009 · Print Advert of the Year 2009 · Radio advert of the Year 2009 · The 8th out of the top 100 Ghanaian Companies for the Year 2009
This is the first time that the Award for the Best CSR Company is being won by a telecommunications company since the category was first introduced in 2008. It is also our 2nd time in a row winning the award for Best ICT Company of the year.
With these Awards, MTN has clearly demonstrated its professional leadership in defining the business landscape in Corporate Ghana and has maintained its dominance with its unique offerings in the socio-economic development of Ghana.
