Ho, 6th July, 2010- The number one telecommunications service provider in Ghana, MTN, has embarked on Mobile Money education with support from its partner banks in the Volta Region.

Business trends are changing everyday and MTN is giving it’s subscribers   an opportunity to catch up with the latest in the financial world.

Many MTN subscribers have registered for the MTN Mobile Money service and are already enjoying the convenience of making financial transactions on their mobile phone since it was launched in Accra in July 2009. The Mobile Money platform provides subscribers the convenience of opening and operating an electronic wallet primarily from their phone.

Besides making daily payments faster and more efficient, this innovation also ensures that all transactions take place with the utmost security. The Mobile Money service facilitates the transfer of money from subscribers especially from parents to children in boarding schools and to relations in other regions in Ghana.

Subscribers are required to produce a valid ID card to register at any MTN service centre, connect store, authorised merchant or field agent.
