MTN ends "Win 90 Cars in 90 Days" Promotion


Accra, 20th July, 2010 – MTN, the first ever African multinational company to sponsor the FIFA World Cup in the history of the world football tournament, today presented the last batch of 41 cars to lucky winners in the win 90 cars in 90 days promotion.

The presentation ceremony officially brings to an end the 90 cars in 90 days promotion which began in April 2010.

MTN instituted the promotion as part of activities to  enable  subscribers and football lovers in Ghana share in the excitement of FIFA 2010 world cup tournament as well as give our over 8 million subscribers the opportunity to  win  great prizes and reward them  for their continuous  loyalty.

In three presentation ceremonies since the launch of the 90 cars in 90 days promotion, MTN touched the lives of 90 lucky members of the MTN family and improved their wellbeing. These valued customers were rewarded with brand new Hyundai i10 saloon cars daily and ix35 4x4 cars on Sundays for demonstrating their loyalty to MTN and their love for football by participating in the promotion. Others also won consolation prizes such as TV sets, mobile phones, lap tops, cash prizes and free airtime vouchers. Forty Nine lucky winners will be driving away their cars today.

“Win 90 cars in 90 days promotion”, which came to a close at the end of the world cup tournament, marked the last of a number of exciting activities MTN rolled out to bring the FIFA 2010 global football event closer to  subscribers, connect with them and sustain its relationship with its cherished subscribers.
These included the “Rally Round the Flag” and the “TXT GO TO 2010” promotions during which subscribers were rewarded with such fantastic prizes such as follows:

  • 12 KIA Sorento 4X4 cars,
  • VIP packages to South Africa 2010,
  • 3 jackpots of a GHC 100,000.00 each and many more consolation prizes.

The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of MTN, Ghana George Andah, congratulated all the proud winners in the win 90 cars in 90 days promotion and said “Though the FIFA 2010 in South Africa has come to an end, the excitement that it brought to us will live on.”
