MTN launches Africa Cup of Nations Fun Parks

MTN is pleased to announce for the information of football-loving Ghanaians, the launch of Fun Parks for the Angola 2010 AFCON tournament currently on-going.

MTN is yet to be out-competed in the continent of Africa as far as soccer is concerned. It was the sponsor of the erstwhile 2008 African Cup of Nations hosted by Ghana. It is committed than any other network in Ghana and Africa to enriching the lives of citizens with a variety of services and not just the provision of telecommunication services.

The Fun Parks, otherwise, venues where giant television sets are going to be mounted for public viewing of the Angola tournament, are to be put up in about five (5) regions in the country. There shall be about ten (10) parks in all. The detail of this is as below:

Selected Public Viewing Centres– Accra: Holy Gardens, Kwame Nkrumah Circle/ Nima Park, nr. Police Station/ Kaukudi park, Nr Traffic Light/ Takoradi: Skyy Power premises/ Tarkwa – Space FM/ Cape Coast - Pedu Goil & Friends Gardens/ Kumasi - Angel FM/ Tamale - Transport Yard.
The company has also launched Predict & Win competitions in a number of media outlets among its subscribers to let them feel part of the tournament. Find below the details:

MTNers only need to predict the score of any match and send it via message to the MTN shortcode 1923 to stand the chance of winning prizes such as MTN souvenirs from MTN and mobile handsets from txtGhana. All prizes will however be redeemed from the offices of txtGhana.
Indeed, Ghanaians can be reassured of MTN’s commitment to always provide value- for –money services. Sooner than later, the whole continent of Africa shall be set agog by the number one soccer event, the FIFA 2010 South Africa World Cup tournament. Ghana Black stars appearance at the tournament makes it even more imperative for Ghanaians to put their shoulders to the wheel and ensure victory short of nothing at the tournament.

MTN is therefore extending hands to all Ghanaians so that as they enjoy the Fun Parks provided in the on-going Africa Cup of Nations, they can contribute in keeping the Black Stars “Can Do” spirit alive.
