MTN Ghana has announced the launch of a new Innovative service named ‘Web Recharge’. 'Web Recharge' is an internet based recharge platform, similar to the existing Credit Transfer Service introduced to increase the range of options available to Retailers, Corporate, Sub-dealers and Personal subscribers' account. This is the first of its kind in the Ghanaian Telecommunications market.

MTN ‘Web Recharge’ provides convenience, flexibility and efficient access to recharge by giving adequate supply of airtime to MTN subscribers and distributors everywhere, once they have internet connectivity. Internet Cafés, Business Centers and Commercial setups with internet connection will find the service extremely useful.

With this innovative service, airtime can be transferred to any MTN prepaid phone number 24 hours a day, 7days a week in varying denominations. A refererence number is provided when a user needs to verify the status of a request. Web Recharge works in a manner similar to the current MTN credit transfer service, with the only difference being the use of the internet. The system allows customers to load as airtime ranging from a minimum amount of GH¢0.1 to GH¢50 in multiples of GH¢0.1
