Accra 13th March MTN, the leading telecommunication company in Ghana is making a storm at the various campuses of tertiary institutions to introduce the MTN Y-Cliq club. The club seeks to attract, capture, engage and maintain a stream of MTN service users especially the young, trendy and progressive young professionals.
MTN Y-Cliq is aimed at driving deeper connections with the youth segment of our subscriber base to create a network of students who will be encouraged to adopt the brand values of MTN which are Leadership, Innovation, Integrity, Relationship and Can –Do to create a successful future for themselves.
Launching the Y-Cliq programme, the Chief Marketing Officer of MTN Mr. Rahul De said “This network of young individuals will be driven to inspire the youth to aspire for a positive change in their lives and communities in which they live. Y-Cliq will inspire ideas from members to be innovative and create their own opportunities to success”.
To qualify as a member of the Y- Cliq club, one must be a student in any tertiary institutions with a registered MTN number. Members of the community will enjoy amongst others Close User Group (CUG) on voice call rate at 0.03p, SMS at 0.02p and discounted charge on data usage.
Y- Cliq members will also have the opportunity to test MTN new products and services, enjoy discounted tickets, preferential seating and parking during MTN events. Also included in the benefits package is an opportunity for club members to engage with MTN brand icons, periodic educational tours and also internship opportunities with MTN.
MTN’ Y-Cliq was launched last year at the University Of Ghana, Legon and Valley View University and has registered over 500 members. Y-Cliq will be launched on the following campuses: University of Cape Coast, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Sunyani Polytechnic, Ho Polytechnic and Takoradi Polytechnic in the weeks ahead.
